A real Battle of the Giants. MikeW vs DocBez 🙂 Where is ImaginaNaCopa ?!

For the Knockout Stages, there will be draws which force the dreaded Penalty Shoot Outs.

At the knockout stage if a user predicts a win e.g. 3-2 they get either the exact points if the result is 3-2 or the win points if the result is 1-0

Penalties are included in either of the above, so if a user predicts 1(5)-1(4), and result is 1(5)-1(4) then exact points, if the result is 2(5)-2(4) it’s a correctly predicted win, however if the result is 1(4)-1(5) they get points for the goal draw. It’s a reward for getting it ‘half-right’.

The bonus points for correct goals and goal difference ignore penalties.

There is nothing for extra time or golden goals as such.

The City was brought down to a stand still as the First Prize for the World Cup 2014 Soccer Prediction was escorted from Heathrow Airport to the City . . .

. . . I have deducted 50 points from myself, so that the Rankings Table shows the true leaders (just add 50 to my score to see where l should be). Marek is leading the group, with Varnsnal and DocBez coming up close.

. . . so Marek is the man who would be king . . . he is breathing up my rear, after my recent Post-BetFair form!

Front Page of the Sun this morning was "We're Through!!". I had to read that headline twice, so as to understand that it was not that we were through, but that we're through . .. confused, so was l.

I get the feeling that they were hedging their bets . . . since the Editorial crew were probably in the pub last night watching the game:)

As pointed out by a couple of people today, 5 games will not cover the amount of games being played over the weekend.

Therefore, the number of games that you can predict has been increased to 12.

A number of people have joined the game (29!! as of writing this post), but have yet to submit their scores for first game on Thursday (12-Jun-14). You can always change your score predictions UP to the start of the game, so l wouldn't risk losing out of points for the initial game. Predict the scores.

The current users who have submitted their initial 5 score predictions are listed below.

If you're not on the list below, then CHECK, otherwise you may lose points for the opening game (Brazil vs Croatia on Thursday, 12th of June evening  . . .  which looks like a dead cert for a Brazil win  . . ..   ).

Note: you can adjust your scores ALL the way to start of each Game, but if you don't submit a score, you will get ZERO points.

Complete tie on the Fun vs $$$ Poll, and running out of time to collect monies, so l am making the executive decision to go for Prizes.

I may need a week for the Bassi Inc World Cup 2014 fund to be built up ( . . l need to book some time for some sales of the Big Issue . . .), but l was thinking of the following:
