Watched an episode of a Canadian detective series called "Murdoch Mysteries" on Alibi, and loved it. After downloading the first series (Sky TV Box Set), I am half way through and addicted.
The series is about Inspector Murdoch of Station House 4 in Toronto just before the end of the 19th Century. A great period due to the emergence of new technologies, especially forensics, and some regular "cameos" like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
In the 1890s, Inspector William Murdoch uses radical forensic techniques for the time, including "finger marks", to solve some of the city's most gruesome murders.
Just finished Season One. Another, eight to go. Currently 9 in Production.
